Graduates are encouraged to focus on the compulsory course and electives, meanwhile to apply and join in the Science and Technology Innovation programs. 83 innovation items is already 30% of that in SIT and those projects have absorbed more than 300 students in recent three years. Two undergraduates have won the third prize in National College Challenge Cup. Four items gained the second prize, the third prize and the encouraging prize in TKK Yong Inventor’ Award. Besides, 10 items have achieved Shanghai “Scientific Development” Cup Science and Invention Award and 10 patents have been applied.
SPT tracks cooperation of manufacture, education and research and have established the cooperative relationship with France Technico Flor Company, Heibei Lida Chemical Co., Ltd, Guangdong Mingkang Flavor and Fragrance Company, Shenzhen Boton Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd and Shanghai H&K Flavor. Until now, the cooperation fund arrives more than 590 thousand RMB and more than 800 students joined into the different kinds of activities and 247 students have gained awards.
According to the talents requirement in market, SPT extends the approaches of improving the students’ skills and advocates “a sheet of diploma, many certificates”, such as, intermediate bartender, perfumer, food nutritionist, chemist et al. Therefore, SPT cooperates with the related training units to cultivate the students. About 30% students have gained the specialty certificates after training.
