At present, there are three majors of Light Industry Chemistry, Food Science and Biology Engineering in School of Perfume and Aroma Technology. The undergraduates of Light Chemistry and Food Science have been started to enroll since 2002. The enrollment of Biology Engineering has been taken in since 2004. The student number of the whole school in recent years is shown in Figure 1. The figure of current undergraduates in Shanghai Institute of Technology is 1044, and figure of graduate students is about 30. SPT emphasize on method of the terminal control and middle promotion, also on the method of multi-communication of teaching, learning and inducting in the education cultivation. Recent years, the excellent atmosphere and the score of basic discipline in SPT have been improved greatly. Besides, the major character and application ability of undergraduate are emphasized on educational aim and talent cultivation. The compulsory course has been focused, while electives have been paid attention and developed. Undergraduates and graduates are encouraged to apply and join in the Science and Technology Innovation programs through which their innovation and occupation ability are strengthened. Till now, such work has made great progress.

SPT tracks cooperation of manufacture, education and research, deploys innovation competition and social practice, advocates “a sheet of diploma, many certificates” to increase learning interest, and to promote applicable abilities and to enlarge the career opportunities. The statistics shows that the ratio of job agreement with graduate has been listed on the top among SIT. Furthermore the employment rate is more than 99% and the employers come from famous company in different fields.
