Zuobing Xiao, born in Tianmen City, Hubei province, is Communist Party of China (CPC) member, professor, leader of the key course, Perfume and Aroma Technology and Engineering, mentor for graduate. He is currently the dean of School of Perfume and Aroma Technology, graduate tutor. He got his Ph. D in East China University of Science and Technology. He was awarded as “the national candidate of Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project, National Excellent Teacher, Leading Person in Shanghai, Shanghai May First Labor Medal, The excellent scholar of Shanghai Shuguang Project, and Bao Steel excellent teacher etc..
His research area focuses on perfume and aroma, food additives, and biological engineering. More than 50 research articles and 3 books（chief editor) were published. 18 patents were applied and 8 patents were authorized. He presided 30 research projects with 30 Million RMB fund, including national 973 project of basic research, National Nature Science Foundation, National key project of Bioreactor, Expo special foundation of National Science and Technology Ministry, key project of Shanghai academic committee. He was ever awarded the advanced prize of National Education Ministry, second prize of Advanced Science and Technology, one second and one third prize of excellent exhibition products from Chinese University of Chinese International Industrial Expo, one candidate prize of Chinese International Expo, 3 second prize of Shanghai excellent educational fruit, etc.. The lectures he gives: Chemistry of perfume and aroma, flavor technology.
